Membership

The Baby Boomers Club is a sanctioned Villages, Florida Resident Lifestyle club whose purpose is to promote friendship and camaraderie with members of the club through meetings, trips, outings, and other activities. Our membership is mostly couples but we welcome single members also.

Membership Criteria

​Individuals must have a Villages resident ID card and have a birth year between 1946 – 1964.  If an individual was born outside of 1946 – 1964 but resides in the same household as an eligible Boomer Club member, he or she is also eligible to become a member.  Incoming members must provide proof of birthdate and Villages residency.

Monthly Meetings

The club meets on the 3rd Wed of each month at La Hacienda Recreation Center  unless otherwise notified; Doors open around 6:15 pm and the meeting begins at 6:45 PM unless otherwise notified.  The meeting will usually end at 9:00 pm.  All meetings are BYOB.

Club Leadership

Officers are elected for a two-year period and may hold the same office for two consecutive terms.  Exceptions are allowed for officers to hold office for longer periods in cases where no other members volunteer to run for a vacant office.  The President may appoint members to be on a Board of Advisors as needed.  The Board of Advisors helps to plan and support monthly activities.

Event Tickets

Members must register to reserve tickets on the Boomer Ticket System online. All events are currently limited to 350 attendees.

The club will send emails to all members providing information with the link to reserve tickets, the date, and the time when tickets will be available to order for upcoming meetings and events.


Members must have a ticket and a current year membership name badge to attend each meeting or event.  Tickets for most events are $5.00 each to attend, but a few events may require a slightly increased amount for tickets.  The majority of events are for "Members Only", but there are times we open events to guests/non-members.  The price for guest tickets is currently $10.
 

Once you submit your online  order for tickets, please honor your commitment to pay for the tickets by sending your check to us within seven days of your order. Ticket orders not paid for within that timeframe will be canceled and those tickets will be available for resale to other members.

Meeting Set Up &

Clean Up

Set-up will be performed by Boomer Club volunteers.

Club members pitch in to clean up their tables at the end of the meeting.  Please remember to take your belongings and discard any unwanted items in the trash receptacles located throughout the room.  The last remaining people at each table are responsible for final clean-up at their table (removing and discarding table coverings and placing unwanted items in the trash).
